2020 Honda HR-V Review
The Honda HR-V is a subcompact SUV that proves big things come in small packages. It’s loaded with technology, offers more cargo room than meets the eye, and delivers impressive fuel economy. To show drivers in Panama City, Springfield, and Callaway what it’s capable of, Honda of Bay County put together this 2020 Honda HR-V review.
Passenger & Cargo Room
The 2020 Honda HR-V offers a comfortable ride with room for up to five people. It comes with cloth seats but offers snazzy leather upholstery. You can also add amenities like a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a moonroof, and an 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat.
There’s lots of room to stretch your legs, too, with 100.1 cubic feet of passenger space. The front row features 39.5 inches of headroom and 41.2 inches of legroom. In the back, passengers will have 38.3 inches of headroom and 39.3 inches of legroom.
The trunk features 24.3 cubic feet of cargo room. The standard 60/40 split Magic Slide® 2nd-row seats make it easy to load more. If you fold the backseats down, you’ll have up to 58.8 cubic feet of cargo room. Fold the front passenger seat down, too, and you’ll be able to carry cargo that’s up to 8 feet long. You can also flip the backseats up and get 4 feet of space from the floor to the ceiling.

In the middle of this versatile interior, you’ll find a user-friendly infotainment system. A 5-inch LCD screen comes standard, but a 7-inch touchscreen is also available. Both dashboard monitors let you stream music and make calls with Bluetooth®. You can also use your phone’s apps with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. Plus, an available SMS Text Message Function lets you reply to your texts without taking your eyes off the road.
Voice recognition is also available with the Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System™. It finds the fastest route and guides you with turn by turn directions. Wherever you’re headed, you can enjoy some great music with Pandora® compatibility, SiriusXM® Radio, and HD Radio™.
Your dashboard monitor also lets you see what’s behind your HR-V. When you put your SUV in reverse, the display will switch from the infotainment system to the multi-angle rearview camera.
Specs & Fuel Economy
This comfortable, hi-tech interior sits on top of a sporty and efficient powertrain. The 2020 Honda HR-V runs on a 1.8L 4-cylinder engine that gets up to 141 horsepower and 127 lb-ft of torque. It’s also capable of delivering an EPA-estimated 28 MPG city and 34 MPG highway.[i]
